frog Innovators Workshop (2022)

Role: Creator / Mentor

In collaboration with the frogSF studio, I created and operated the Innovators Workshop: a paid, hands-on introduction course to industrial design. Over eight weeks ten emerging, San Francisco Bay Area high school designers were introduced to the fundamentals of industrial design and taught how to transform ideas into well-defined concepts. They were tasked with designing a hand tool and presented their functional prototypes in a college-style thesis presentation. Each week consisted of in-person lecture and shop classes.

bronx innovators workshop (2019)

Role: Creator / Mentor

In collaboration with Tomorrow Lab and the Bronx Innovation Factory, I produced an eight week, hands-on introduction to Industrial Design course. During the summer of 2019, eight young designers were selected to learn how to transform their ideas into well-defined concepts and lay the foundation necessary to matriculate into the modern urban technology workforce.
